Judi is a renowned equestrian artist but she is also well known for her portraits. Having painted quite a few famous people. Some of which can be seen in stately homes and mansions across the country.

About Judi and her portraits
I found out I could do a decent portrait doing caricatures of our teachers at Grammar School. I did several portraits in pencil in art classes as a six former doing A level History of Art. There I studied the Renaissance and Pre Raphaelites art periods and I revelled in their richness of lighting and drama.
As an 18 year old I did several local art exhibitions and offered 20 minute portraits to make pocket money and to cover my materials and expenses and through this I gained many more portrait commissions.
I was fortunate to get plenty of articles and features in magazines and did portrait paintings for magazine covers such as Woman's Own. I was approached to paint the president of Leeds Football Club and then to paint the late Lord Armstrong of Bamburgh Castle, this painting still to this day hangs in the main hall of Castle Howard, nr York, North Yorkshire. Where the famous Brideshead Revisited was filmed as well as many other films and TV programmes.
